This Privacy Policy explains what information OffshoreDesk collects when you visit the site, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We aim to keep things short and readable. If anything here is unclear, you can reach us using the contact route at the bottom of the page.
What we collect
We try to keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site and understand how it is used. The main categories are:
- Analytics data: pages viewed, time on page, approximate location (usually country or region level), device type, browser, screen size, and the referring website or search term where available.
- Cookies and similar storage: small files placed on your device to remember preferences, measure traffic, and, where applicable, track outbound clicks to operators we link to.
- Technical logs: IP address, timestamps, and basic request information recorded by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting.
- Information you send us: if you contact us, we receive whatever you choose to include, such as your name, email address, and the content of your message.
We do not ask for or store payment details, and we do not require you to create an account to read the site.
How we use it
We use the data above to:
- Keep the site working, secure, and free from abuse.
- Understand which guides and pages are useful, and improve them.
- Measure whether links to third-party operators are clicked, which helps us maintain the site.
- Respond to questions, complaints, or correction requests sent to us.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles about you.
Third parties
Some services we rely on may process limited data on our behalf or as independent controllers. These typically include a hosting provider, an analytics tool, and the gambling operators we link out to. When you click an outbound link to an operator, you leave OffshoreDesk and that operator's own privacy policy applies to anything you do on their site.
Cookies and your choices
You can control cookies in several ways:
- Use the cookie banner or settings link to accept or refuse non-essential cookies.
- Adjust your browser to block or delete cookies, or to warn you before they are set.
- Use private or incognito browsing if you prefer not to be measured at all.
Refusing non-essential cookies will not stop you reading the guides, but some features, such as remembering your preferences, may not work.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or EEA, you have rights over personal data we hold about you. These include the right to access a copy, ask for corrections, ask for deletion, object to certain processing, and complain to your local data protection regulator. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office.
Retention
Analytics and log data are kept for a limited period and then deleted or aggregated. Messages you send us are kept only as long as needed to deal with your query and any follow-up.
Contact
To exercise your rights or ask a question about this policy, use the contact form or contact email address published on the OffshoreDesk contact page. We will respond within a reasonable time.
